Description
Alice: How long is forever?
White rabbit: Sometimes just one second.
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
We are all familiar with the adorable friend of Alice.
The rabbit, as a Celtic Animal Symbols, was thought to have special protective powers needed for the residing underground. Thus bringing protection from evil gods believed to live beneath the earth. They were considered lucky. Thus keeping a part of the rabbit was considered good fortune, the rabbit’s foot could bring protection from evil spirits, and is even considered so today. As a child, I remember my grandmother having a soft rabbit’s foot attached to her key chain.
Now I come to think about it, the practice was quite macabre really, poor little rabbits.
Maybe my little rabbits could bring you luck with all their little feet still intact
